Update!

Summer is over and Fall has begun! Where has the time gone? The first few months of this pregnancy were very slow...probably due to not feeling so good. BUT, now, time is just flying by!!! I am in my 6 month and feeling great. I swear my belly gets bigger and bigger each day. I am feeling so much movement, its crazy! I don't EVER think Baby White sleeps! He loves to kick and play all day in mommy's belly! I guess he is just like his Daddy....never sits STILL!! Always has to be doing something :o)

I can't believe it will only be a few more months till we meet our little man!!! Travis and I are starting to get prepared. Travis thought it was best if he stayed home while Grandma Sheryl and I went to register. I think that was a wonderful idea, since mom and I spend at least 4 hours in Babies R Us!!!! Talk about overwhelming....I didn't even know where to begin! Can't there just be ONE Stroller, ONE Pack-N-Play, ONE breast pump, ONE Baby Bjorn, etc. etc., etc. to choose from? NO, there has to be a million different brands you can choose! Not fun for a very indecisive mommy!

We are very excited to get the nursery set up, too. Let's just say Baby White will be "monkey'ing" around! We chose a Carter bedding collection called "Monkey Bars". It's so darn cute (Thank you, Gma Jo Jo and Gpa P). NOW, I'm anxious and can't wait till the boys (Grandpa Mike, Granddaddy Parker, and Daddy Travis) PAINT. Grandpa Mike aka. MR. ARTIST is going to do a mural on the crib wall as well. Monkeys hanging from a big tree? We can't wait to see!!

Requested Belly Pictures...

Mommy's BELLY keeps growing....Our little baby boy is getting bigger day by day. We had our check-up appt on September 9th. Baby White is 14 oz, not 17 oz (for some reason we thought that is what the ultrasound tech told us). Thank goodness. Not that 3 oz is a huge difference, however, most babies between 20 and 21 wks measure at approx. 10 oz. :o) His heart beat was 150 beats per minute, which is just fine.
Mommy is feeling soooo much movement now. "Bdubs" or "Brutus" as we like to call him is allowing many family and friends to feel him, too. I wish the little guy would go to sleep when mom wants to sleep, but that doesn't seem to be working. He loves to be active right when my head hits the pillow!
Ohh, and I know everyone wants to know, BUT we still haven't picked a name. We have narrowed it down to a few, so hopefully in the next couple weeks we will come to an agreement. :o)

BABY WHITE IS A ...

Yesterday, August 25th, was one of the most memorable days of our lives! It was so exciting to see how big Baby White has grown over the last 10 weeks. The technician was very thorough with the ultrasound. I think we both thought when we got in the room that the technician would automatically let us know if the Baby was a BOY or GIRL, however, she made us patiently wait for a little bit. She checked Baby's heart, spine, brain, stomach, etc. and did multiple measurements for Baby's size and weight. Then, showed us the "anatomy" of the Baby. It was not hard to see that Baby White was a BOY!!! His little "weewee" was very visible to the eye. :o) It was great to hear our Baby Boy is healthy and everything is growing the way its suppose to be. The technician told us I am 19 wks, but Baby is measuring at 21 wks! He is growing like a weed! Let's just say, Mommy will be delivering at least an 8 to 9 lb Baby! She said, "Make sure your family and friends don't buy "newborn" outfits for your little boy because he won't fit in them when he is born!" HAHA
Travis and I are just overwhelmed with joy. We were so excited to find out the sex. Now, we can start preparing the nursery, pick out a name, and get ready for our little Baby Boy to arrive!!! We will post the ultrasound pics soon...

Basking in the Sun!

Travis and I are trying to get "back to reality". Last week, we spent vacation in Destin, Florida with our good friends Lauren and Bobby. Lauren and I are due less than a week apart! TOO FUN!! The girls spent most of the vacation watching their "sober" husbands act like college boys again (see below pic for evidence). I think you all get the picture. :o) Lauren and I are in the "pot belly" stage as we like to call it. In clothes, you can tell we are starting to show a bit, however, in a swim suit...POTBELLY would be the perfect name. Check it out!

The White Family

The White Family has some very exciting news to share with everyone. Travis and Lindsey are expecting their first child!!! Baby White is due to arrive January 21st, 2010. We thought the best way to keep everyone up-to-date for the next 6 months is to start a blog.
Travis and I have no idea the "proper" or "best" way to "blog", but we think this will be an awesome way to keep our family and friends updated.
We had our first ultrasound on June 18th. It was the most amazing experience for both of us. On that day, Baby White measured 9 wks 6 days and had a healthy heart rate of 176 beats per minute. Hearing the heart beat was one of the most memorable days of our lives. Our second appointment was on July 13th. Travis and I were much more relaxed and of course it was wonderful to hear Baby White's heart beat again on the Doppler.
Our next appointment will be on August 11th. I will be approx. 17 wks. Our doctor told us that we will be able to find out if Baby White is a GIRL or a BOY between 18 and 20 wks. Stay tuned for the date of the next ultrasound...WE CAN'T WAIT!
