Baby Carson's Nursery

We are beginning to think Baby Carson's first word might be MONKEY! He is going to have so much fun "monkey'ing around"! The nursery is complete and we are absolutely thrilled with how it turned out. Granddaddy Parker and Daddy Travis painted the nursery a light sage color to match the bedding. Then, Grandpa Mike used his "artistic" background and Grandma Sheryl used her "creative mind" to design a graphic tree with monkeys, which they painted on the wall and didn't let us see it until it was finished! Of course, myself and Grandma Jo Jo made sure all of Carson's accessories were ready to be put in place when all the painting was complete! :o) TEAM WORK!
Travis and I can't thank our parents ENOUGH for everything they have been doing for us and baby Carson. SO, we take this time to give the "Grandparents to Be" a BIG, BIG, BIG THANK YOU! We love you very much and appreciate everything you do. We are truly blessed.

Girl's Night

It was so great to catch up with my sorority sisters! I haven't seen Gretchen in a year. (SHAME on US!) Lori, Gretchen, and myself are ALL due in January. CRAZY! Baby Carson, Baby Addison, and Baby Kreyling (undecided on a name right now :o)) can't wait to meet each other. I'm sure they will have many, many, play dates!

Gretchen gave Carson a LION Onesie...so cute! (For those of you that don't know, A D Pi's mascot is a lion. hee hee)

Baby Shower

Yesterday, October 11th, I had my first Baby Shower. My cousin Erin hosted the shower and all of my Aunts and Cousins from the Burgheim side and family friends attended. I had such a great time.

Mom and I made "Babies wrapped in Blankets" cupcakes and brought them to the shower....

My cousin Erin made a Diaper cake for the center piece....

We played a few games...one included guessing the type of baby food without the label. The baby food was numbered from 1 to 10 and you had to decide just by the "COLOR" if it was a fruit (ie. bananas/pears/apples) or a vegetable (ie. peas/carrots/green beans). YUM YUM! Another game, which was hysterical, consisted of taking an index card, putting it on your forehead, and drawing a baby. Then, I had to pick the best one. Most of the drawings looked like BLOBS! Too fun!

Of course, we had to measure my belly with toliet paper, too. Right now, it takes 10 squares to get around my tummy. It will be interesting to see how many squares it takes in my last month. :o)

Grandma Sheryl made Baby Carson's Christening Gown out of her wedding dress, along with a hat, and blanket....just priceless and precious....

Grandma Sheryl and me...Only belly pic from the shower :o)

Pic of Koopie and Me....

Grandma Burgheim, Erin, Me, and Aunt Susie...Oh, and Rufus!

Name for our Baby Boy!

We have finally decided on a name for our little guy! Now, we can call the baby by his name. Yeah!

Carson Michael White

Although, I still seem to call him "Bdubs" :o). I guess habit for the last 6 months. Travis and I were probably weirdos, but we continued to call the Baby "Carson" for about a month before we made it official. AND, to answer the question you all might be thinking.....WE ARE NOT NAMING THE BABY AFTER Carson Palmer. We do love the Bengals-WHO DEY, but that is not the reason!!! haha
