Showering Carson with MORE Love!

Aunt Katie and Grandma Jo Jo hosted a shower for Baby Carson and me on November 29th. They made the shower very special and tons of fun!!! Thank you both SO MUCH!!!!

Mommy and Grandma Sheryl...Baby Carson is making mommy look pretty "snowman like" these days!!!

Adorable Monkey CUPCAKE cake

Guess the poopie diaper?!?! Great GAME. For those of you that have never played, the host melts different types of candy bars (ie. Reese Cup, Milky Way, Baby Ruth, Twix) and places the candy bar in the diaper. The diapers are labeled and you have to guess which "poopie" is which candy bar. SUCH A HOOT!!!
The centerpiece is a cake made by Grandma Sheryl....She is so DANG creative!

Mommy and Great Grandma Burgheim...Mommy was very glad she made the trip to Louisville. Baby Carson is going to be the FIRST GREAT Grandchild on the Burgheim side! So exciting!!!

Great Grandma Burgheim, Great Grandma Carrico, Mommy, Grandma Sheryl, Great Grandma White, and Grandma Jo Jo......AWESOME PICTURE!!! Love you all!!!

Great Grandma White gave Baby Carson two handmade quilts....Beautiful!

Great Grandma Carrico gave Baby Carson a Christening Hat. There is a tradition with this hat. If you have a boy, when he grows up and gets married he gives it to his bride. She can pin it under her dress for something "old" or she can use it as her hanky for the day. I pinned Daddy Travis' hat under my dress when we got married!!! Very special gift....Made Mommy get teary.....

Mommy and Terri Lynn....Baby Carson and Baby Thomas were both moving when this picture was snapped...They can't wait to meet each other!!!

Yummy, yummy, yummy...Cheesecake!

Thanksgiving blessings

Sometimes we get tied up with our daily lives and its easy to forget to give thanks for everything we have been given. Thanksgiving is the time to feel gratitude to God for all the good things in life. Travis and I are so thankful for our wonderful families who love us unconditionally, our amazing friends who are there for us always, and especially for our baby boy, Carson Michael, who will be entering this world very soon!!! We are truly blessed!!!
This year we spent Thanksgiving in Lebanon and Louisville. It was great to see all of Travis' extended family, since we only get to see them a few times a year. It was nice to catch up and spend quality time with all of the family.

Daddy Travis and Uncle Curt couldn't keep their hands off of Mommy's belly. Baby Carson was very active during Thanksgiving. Maybe Mommy ate too much??? Oops!

Grandma White couldn't get over how big Mommy's belly had grown!!!

Granddaddy Parker, Uncle Curt, Grandma Jo Jo, Mommy, and Daddy...
Aunt Katie had to work. We missed her!!!

Great Grandma "Mem-maw", Mommy, and Daddy....
Mommy wanted to be cuddled under the blanket with her after eating way too much for Thanksgiving!!!! I was STUFFED. I look STUFFED, too! Daddy had to hold my hand, so I didn't smash Memmaw with my belly! :o)

Maternity Pictures

We had Maternity Pictures taken by April from "Bluebird Photography" (back in early November...approx. 28 wks). April was also our wedding photographer. We have continued to keep in contact and we wanted her to capture another wonderful chapter in our lives. She did an amazing job.

Check out some of our favorites....

Showering Carson with Love!

On November 21st, my amazing friends hosted a Baby Shower for Carson and me. Sara, Molly, Jamie, and Casey, THANK YOU! We all had a great time and I was showered with so many wonderful gifts from my family and friends. Love you all!!!

Here are some pics from the shower...Molly, Casey, (Little Mason Man), Sara, Jamie, and me.

Aunt Kate Kate and me...She is already spoiling Carson like crazy!!!!

Tears...tears..and more tears....
Grandma Sheryl made Carson a book of poems. The book is called "Grandma B's book of Crazy Poems". Every week since the first week I told my mom I was expecting, she has wrote a POEM. As most of you know, there is a website called "the bump. com" and to make it easier for mommy-to-be's, they compare each week in your pregnancy to the size of a fruit or veggie. Well, Grandma Sheryl decided to write a poem for every week based on what the website said the baby resembles each week. For example, did you know at week 11 your baby is the size of a LIME??? :o) I will treasure this gift forever and I can't wait to start reading the poems to Carson! Thank you, momma!

Aunt Vickie, Aunt Connie, Mom, Cousin Ashley, me, and Cousin Susan...Great Family Picture!

All of my girls! Thank you for making the day so special!! XOXO

Lauren and me...Baby Carson and Baby Dylan :o). They can't wait to meet each other!

3D/4D Ultrasound of Baby Carson (31 wks)!

On Friday, November 20th, Gma Sheryl & Gpa Mike, Gma Jo Jo & Granddaddy P, Uncle Brian & Koopie, and Daddy Travis & myself headed to Tri-State Women's Health to witness Carson in ACTION!!! Words cannot even begin to describe how memorable this day was for everyone. It was amazing!!! The ultrasound lasted around 45 minutes, so we have great footage of Carson moving all around in Mommy's belly. Right away, we were able to see that he loves to bring his right arm up by his face. He continued to do this throughout the entire ultrasound. :o)

Carson weighs 5 lbs 4 oz and is just PRECIOUS!! He has all 10 fingers and all 10 toes (his second toe is longer than his first toe, which is definitely a Burgheim trait). He has cute chubby cheeks and a pointed chin! Our little bundle of joy is FOR SURE a perfect combination of his mommy and daddy!! He even resembles his UNCLES, too.

He almost has his thumb.....:o)

Look at those puckered-up lips....

Approx. 7 more weeks to go...I can hardly stand it. I cannot wait to hold him, cuddle him, squeeze him, kiss him....Ok, "Mommy to Be" is going crazy, but I can't help it!! He already has my heart and I love him so much.

Big Boy!

I have to say I'm slacking....I wish I was like most "bloggers" and could post something every few days, but I just can't seem to do it! Anyhoo~ Last week Trav and I went to the doctor for my 29 wk check-up. (I was finally able to get the H1N1 shot, too. :o) YEAH). Baby Carson is growing like a weed! I am actually measuring 32 wks, so our little guy is 3 wks bigger than he should be at this time. I guess I shouldn't say "little guy". He is a "big boy"! The doctor scheduled another ultrasound for next Monday the 16th to get a better idea of his actual size, weight, length, etc. We are also scheduled for a 3D/4D ultrasound on Friday the 20th. Our parents and siblings will be coming with us! We just can't wait!!! I am already guessing Carson will look like his Daddy! Hopefully, he will let us take some good pics of him in my belly. Lately, he seems to be moving constantly...all day....and all night long. BUT, I have to say, I love feeling his summersaults, kicks, and pokes!!!

More added to the nursery....
Grandma Sheryl painted Carson's letters. His name turned out so cute!! I wish I had HALF of my mom's creative skills! Do you think it skips a generation? HAHA.

Great-Grandpa Kenny surprised us Monday night with our Pack-n-Play! We were thrilled! Thank you Grandpa!! And, remember Baby Carson is so lucky and blessed to have an Angel-Grandma Joann watching over him ALWAYS.

Baby Carson's Nursery

We are beginning to think Baby Carson's first word might be MONKEY! He is going to have so much fun "monkey'ing around"! The nursery is complete and we are absolutely thrilled with how it turned out. Granddaddy Parker and Daddy Travis painted the nursery a light sage color to match the bedding. Then, Grandpa Mike used his "artistic" background and Grandma Sheryl used her "creative mind" to design a graphic tree with monkeys, which they painted on the wall and didn't let us see it until it was finished! Of course, myself and Grandma Jo Jo made sure all of Carson's accessories were ready to be put in place when all the painting was complete! :o) TEAM WORK!
Travis and I can't thank our parents ENOUGH for everything they have been doing for us and baby Carson. SO, we take this time to give the "Grandparents to Be" a BIG, BIG, BIG THANK YOU! We love you very much and appreciate everything you do. We are truly blessed.

Baby Monkey with a diaper and sucking his thumb....Love it.....

To accent the door....two little monkeys jumping on the bed....I mean....vine!

Baby Carson growing in Mommy's belly....28 wks

Girl's Night

It was so great to catch up with my sorority sisters! I haven't seen Gretchen in a year. (SHAME on US!) Lori, Gretchen, and myself are ALL due in January. CRAZY! Baby Carson, Baby Addison, and Baby Kreyling (undecided on a name right now :o)) can't wait to meet each other. I'm sure they will have many, many, play dates!

Gretchen gave Carson a LION Onesie...so cute! (For those of you that don't know, A D Pi's mascot is a lion. hee hee)

Baby Shower

Yesterday, October 11th, I had my first Baby Shower. My cousin Erin hosted the shower and all of my Aunts and Cousins from the Burgheim side and family friends attended. I had such a great time.

Mom and I made "Babies wrapped in Blankets" cupcakes and brought them to the shower....

My cousin Erin made a Diaper cake for the center piece....

We played a few games...one included guessing the type of baby food without the label. The baby food was numbered from 1 to 10 and you had to decide just by the "COLOR" if it was a fruit (ie. bananas/pears/apples) or a vegetable (ie. peas/carrots/green beans). YUM YUM! Another game, which was hysterical, consisted of taking an index card, putting it on your forehead, and drawing a baby. Then, I had to pick the best one. Most of the drawings looked like BLOBS! Too fun!

Of course, we had to measure my belly with toliet paper, too. Right now, it takes 10 squares to get around my tummy. It will be interesting to see how many squares it takes in my last month. :o)

Grandma Sheryl made Baby Carson's Christening Gown out of her wedding dress, along with a hat, and blanket....just priceless and precious....

Grandma Sheryl and me...Only belly pic from the shower :o)

Pic of Koopie and Me....

Grandma Burgheim, Erin, Me, and Aunt Susie...Oh, and Rufus!
